DAVID ARIOSTO is a journalist, editor, executive, and author who has spent more than 20 years covering emerging geopolitical issues and technological trends. His work spans more than 40 countries, including China, Russia, Cuba, Afghanistan, and Mexico. Following a two-year stint in Havana, he wrote This Is Cuba: An American Journalist Under Castro’s Shadow," ranked among The Washington Post's "10 Books to Read―and Gift―in December," USA Today's "New and Noteworthy," and Amazon's Best Nonfiction and History Books of the month.  Throughout his career, Ariosto has held senior leadership positions at CNN, National Geographic, NPR, and Eurasia Group. He is currently the Head of Editorial for Intelligence Squared US, where he oversees a weekly debate show carried on more than 300 public radio stations nationwide, manages a series of major partnerships, and writes a weekly newsletter. A visiting professor at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Ariosto is currently writing his second book, which explores the science, technology, and key players behind the next space race. This book also serves as the basis for an upcoming major documentary series .
